Weekly & Bi-Monthly Lawn Mowing
Experts agree, with a healthy growing lawn, you should mow at least once a week. That's because you should never cut more than a third of its lengths at one time. This could shock your grass, causing stress damage. Mowing often doesn't mean you should cut your lawn too short.
Here is the Billings area where lawns feature warm-season grasses, fertilize turf in late spring or early summer, just before grass kicks into high gear. Make a second application in late summer. The before your lawn enters the dormant stage, we recommend one last application before Winter.
Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn. The main reason for aerating is to alleviate soil compaction.
Lawn De-Thatching & Power Raking
Thatch builds up over time, so it's not necessary to dethatch every year. Plan on dethatching every 2-3 years or so if your lawn needs it. You might want to give your lawn a quick check every year just to see how much thatch has accumulated. This will allow H2O and Nutrients to get down into the soil grass roots.
Tree Trimming & Pruning
Trimming is like a much-needed haircut, one that enhances the tree's natural shape. Thinning out limbs and cutting back unwieldy branches is beneficial because it improves the tree's appearance. Trimming is especially important for those trees you planted to boost the appeal of a property.
Frequent trimming is important for the health of your hedges. Trimming out dead or diseased parts of the plant will keep the hedge healthier while allowing new growth to proceed. Removing dead wood also reduces the risk of insect problems in the hedge.
Most snow removal by Jayret is clearance of driveways and walkways. After heavy snowfalls, we will typically remove snow at accumulations of 2 inches or more. This provides a safe place for yourself, your family or your business.
